Brewers' DL Hall: Efficient in latest rehab start
Rotowire Jul 29, 2024
Hall (knee) struck out four and allowed one earned run on one hit and two walks over four innings in his rehab start Friday with Triple-A Nashville.
Currently in the midst of his third rehab assignment while he makes his way back from a lengthy absence due to a left knee sprain, Hall delivered perhaps his most encouraging outing yet. The four innings represented his longest outing at any level since April 6, and though he issued two walks and surrendered a solo home run, Hall largely avoided traffic on the bases. He tossed 57 pitches (36 strikes) in Friday's start, so the Brewers will presumably want to see Hall get further stretched out over another rehab start or two before bringing him back from the 60-day injured list. Joe Ross (knee) looks on track to return from the 60-day IL to start Tuesday against Atlanta, but Hall could end up usurping Ross as Milwaukee's No. 5 starter once he gets reinstated.

Brewers' DL Hall: Tosses 49 pitches in rehab start
Rotowire Jul 25, 2024
Hall (knee/forearm) struck out one batter and gave up two earned runs on three hits and two walks over 2.2 innings in his rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Nashville.
Hall resumed his rehab assignment with Nashville after he had been shut down for just under two weeks while he recovered from a bruised left forearm, an injury he sustained when he was struck by a line drive in his previous rehab outing July 9. As expected, Hall looks like he'll be built back up for a starting role, as he tossed 49 pitches (26 strikes) in his return to Nashville. He'll likely need at least two more outings in the minors to get fully stretched out before the Brewers potentially bring him back from the 60-day injured list and clear a spot for him in the rotation.

Brewers' DL Hall: Resuming rehab assignment
Rotowire Jul 21, 2024
Hall (knee/forearm) will head to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday to resume his rehab assignment, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.
While it's unclear if Hall is scheduled to pitch Sunday in Nashville's game against Norfolk, the right-hander at least isn't being shut down from throwing any longer after his rehab assignment was extended when he was hit in the left forearm by a comebacker in his last outing July 9. Though Hall has yet to cover more than three innings in any of his nine outings between his first two separate minor-league rehab assignments, general manager Matt Arnold said last Sunday that the southpaw will get stretched back out to start as he resumes pitching with Nashville. Hall had previously made all four of his appearances with Milwaukee as a starter before landing on the injured list April 21 with a left knee sprain.

Brewers' DL Hall: Will get stretched out in minors
Rotowire Jul 15, 2024
Brewers general manager Matt Arnold said Sunday that Hall (knee/forearm) will continue to get stretched out for starting duty once he resumes his rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Hall has had his rehab assignment at Nashville shut down on two occasions, with the latest being the result of a bruised left forearm suffered when he was struck by a line drive Tuesday. Though Hall avoided structural damage to his pitching arm, he remains shut down from throwing but should be able to resume ramping up within a few days. Hall could still be a week or more away from resuming his assignment, however, which makes it unlikely that he'll be ready to return from the 60-day injured list before the end of July. Hall had previously covered between two and three innings in his last four rehab starts with Nashville while maxing out at 62 pitches.

Brewers' DL Hall: Rehab extended
Rotowire Jul 10, 2024
Hall (knee) didn't suffer a fracture after getting hit in the forearm by a comebacker Tuesday during his rehab outing with Triple-A Nashville, but he'll be shut down from throwing for 3-to-10 days, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Tuesday was originally expected to be Hall's final rehab outing, but his stay in Nashville will once again be extended while he recovers from the forearm injury. The Brewers haven't yet specified a new target date for Hall's return to Milwaukee, though a timeline may emerge once he's cleared to resume throwing.
